Mec. Anna Krysiak and mec. Jakub Żelazek successfully represented the Client of our Law Firm, a nationwide sports association, in a precedent-setting case involving liability for an accident that occurred during a competition in an extreme sport. The court hearing the case shared the arguments presented by our Law Firm lawyers, holding that the Client of our Law Firm was not liable for the accident suffered by the competitor. The claim brought against the Law Firm’s Client was dismissed in its entirety. The case is precedent-setting for several reasons – it resolved, among others, the issue of how to mark the route of a competition in an extreme sport discipline and what significance the risk of practising a dangerous sport discipline has for liability for damages.
