Dr Iwona Gębusia is a doctor of laws and attorney at law with vast experience in legal advisory for business, including public companies listed on WSE and financial institutions. She has gained a significant background in a number of transactions pertaining to capital markets, M&A, financing and she has provided legal services in the regulatory field for financial institutions. Before joining our firm, she practiced in the leading Polish and international law firms.

She graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Warsaw University, where she also gained a doctor of laws’ degree. Then she completed post-graduate tax law studies organized by the Warsaw School of Economics. Iwona Gębusia studied also in the Centre of American Law Studies co-organized by the University of Florida and the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Warsaw University. Moreover, she studied at the Faculty of Law of Université Nancy 2. Additionally, she was awarded a fellowship at the Faculty of Law of the New York University and a scholarship at Max-Planck-Institut für ausländisches und internationales Privatrecht in Hamburg.

She is admitted to practice law by the District Chamber of Legal Advisors in Warsaw.

She is the author of two valuable monographs: “The Subscription Warrants” and “Company’s Interest in Polish and European Law” (published by C.H. Beck).
